Are you able to put a custom paper into a shape? I tried to add a paper to a shape and it only brought up what was pre-loaded or purchased in MMS, but I wanted to add a paper I got elsewhere.

You sure can. Here is a tutorial I wrote up on how to do that, just zip down to step 4 and start there. I have pictures to help you along. The page only shows the first two steps, just click on the see more at the bottom to see the full tutorial. Hope that helps.

Jeannie,

If you are editing a shape from MMS you can. (When you add a shape and then edit the shape in MMS). Once you edit the shape and get the shape to what you want, click save and it will ask you for a name. It will then be saved under 'Users' in the Shapes Category.

If you make a shape elsewhere other than MMS, I don't know about that.

Hope this helped!

Hi!

In MMS shapes are .svg files. I'm not sure that right now it's possible to *import* .svg files to have more shapes in the MMS libraries.

Yes you can add your own shapes. It is actually very easy to do. First you can only add .svg files those are the only kind that will work. Also make sure you are not using super small shapes or they will not look good if you make them larger. On to how to load them.
Go to where ever you have MM loaded on your computer. Mine is in My Computer. Then go into program files. There you will find MM click on that, next go click on components, in there you will find Shapes, click into that folder. Last you will find all your shapes folders. I put my shapes in a folder called designer shapes. That is all there is to it. Now your shape should show up in the program. if not you may need to restart it. Another thing to keep in mind is if you have a lot of shapes they can take up a lot of memory in your program so you can take the shapes out and put them in as you need to to avoid bogging down the program. Hope this helps!

Hi!

I had planned to make a try (in adding them in the appropriate folder)... and I was almost sure that it would work :-)

I have plenty shapes... both in .png and .svg as I used to sell my kits with shapes in the past.

Thank you for the confirmation.

Jeannie H,
Here's a great tutorial on adding svg shapes to mms to use again and again.

My Memories is working on a way to add shapes via the store if you don't want to mess with your program.

That will be cool!  I don't guess that will include outside content though.

Ahh this was fantastic thank you!

My shape was filled with  a BG paper which I wanted to match the paper on an adjoining page, however the paper was really tiny, I tried to find a way to change it, but I had enlargd the shape already so I could not get the shapes image editor box up, I knew it could be done but had no idea what I was doing wrong, so I looked at your tutorial and that showed what i did wrong.

Thank you!
