A market cross is a structure that marks a geographical place where markets or fairs take place. I fell in love with some of the ones in England. Salisbury has a 'Poultry Cross' and Winchester has a 'Butter Cross'. Most of the ones tourists and locals can enjoy today are a couple to a few hundred years old - but some medieval markers have survived.

These structures were erected to show that the monarch had granted permission for a market.  I chose the name 'Elizabeth's Market Cross' for my design store to represent a place where people come together to scrap, shop, and socialize!

I'm so glad you stopped by! Watch for new challenges and more!

Here is Salisbury's Poultry Cross:

Interesting! And great choice for your design name now that I know the meaning!
